MY BACKGROUND
I've been leading user experience (UX) engagements—mostly digital, with some non-digital or human-centered design projects—for over 20 years as a consultant. Through my scoping and risk assessment work, and as a fellow business owner committed to providing value through every hour billed, I've worked with organizations as a partner in strategy and as a UX coach, in addition to my design, research, analysis, and writing contributions.
My past experience includes full time work in instructional design at Apple and in information design—part of the pioneering design thinking methodology—at Fitch. My education includes a cognitive science research-driven M.A. in Professional Writing at Carnegie Mellon University, and undergraduate/continuing studies in graphic design, film, and piano performance.
